We are currently recruiting for a Community Safety Officer to join our friendly and supportive Localities and Community Safety team. From day one, you will be part of a well‑respected and supportive team. You will also have the flexibility to control your own working day, and you will work on a variety of different cases across our Platform localities.
Responsibilities
- The Community Safety Officer will be responsible for preparing legal documents and gathering evidence for court proceedings.
- You will check that all processes and procedures have been followed.
- You will present cases during court proceedings and attend relevant multi‑agency meetings to present case updates.
- You will use a broad range of approaches to manage complex cases through to a satisfactory conclusion.
- You will take the lead on legal proceedings and tenancy enforcement issues offering support to our wider team regarding anti‑social behaviour issues.
- You will build long‑standing relationships with local authorities, Police Services, and all other partner agencies.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of court applications for civil and non‑rental cases, such as anti‑social behaviour, hate crime, fraud.
- Experience of representing cases in court.
- Experience working in social housing.
- Experience working closely with third‑party agencies to tackle complex issues.
- Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Proactive approach and ability to prioritise your time to meet timeframes.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused approach, understanding the importance of delivering a high standard of service.
- Role involves some travel. A driving licence and use of your own vehicle or alternative means of getting to the required locations is essential.
- Basic DBS check required.
