The Vacancy
Platform Housing Group is a not-for-profit organisation that reinvests profits into building more homes and engaging with communities.
We are looking for compassionate and reliable individuals to join our relief pool as Relief Housing Tenancy Support Workers, providing essential cover across our supported housing schemes for our residents aged 55 and over.
In this flexible, relief role, you will play a key part in supporting residents to live safely and independently. The work is varied and may include responding to emergency calls, carrying out welfare checks, completing basic health and safety tasks, and ensuring general tenancy and scheme-related responsibilities are met.
Shifts vary depending on need and include daytime hours, overnight sleep-in shifts (sleep in allowance of £71.77 per sleep in). You’ll be expected to cover holidays and sickness with the expectation you’ll be able available with notice where possible.
This is a valuable opportunity to gain experience in the housing or care sector. Three Relief workers are needed to cover our three schemes in the Worcestershire area. Relief workers must be able to travel to multiple schemes within these areas. Opportunities may be available to work across Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
About You
You\’ll be flexible, dependable, and confident working independently. You’ll feel comfortable supporting older people and will remain calm and reassuring in emergency situations.
You’ll have excellent people skills, great communication skills and ensure the best customer service is delivered to our residents. You’ll have experience of working with people over 55 and have some understanding of their needs.
You’ll also be able to travel between the sites in Worcestershire to meet the needs of the role. In addition, you’ll also be comfortable in lone working.
This role will be ideal if you’re looking to gain experience alongside other commitments.
Please note an Enhanced DBS will be required and ability to travel across the three sites.
