About the role

Our Neighbourhood Officers are at the heart of what we do as an organisation. We have a great opportunity for a Neighbourhood Officer to join our Localities team providing a comprehensive housing management service, working with communities and neighbourhoods around North Northamptonshire and Harborough. This will include locations such as Market Harborough, Rushden, Kettering, Billesden and Burton Latimer. You will be someone who takes a hands‑on approach, helping customers to manage their tenancies and improve our neighbourhoods for everyone. Most of the time you will be out and about in your patch, working closely with customers to promote sustainable tenancies and developing strong relationships with local communities.

Responsibilities

  • Visit customers, provide advice, review tenancies and identify problems.
  • Inspect estates, raise, report and monitor any health and safety or safeguarding concerns to a successful conclusion.
  • Play a key role in developing strong relationships within local communities, working collaboratively with other agencies and Platform colleagues.
  • Manage and investigate tenancy issues such as anti‑social behaviour, condition of property, fly tipping or safeguarding concerns.
  • Undertake new tenancy sign‑ups and accompany viewings for new homes.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in the social housing sector, particularly with a background of dealing with tenancy management, ASB and safeguarding.
  • Experience working closely with customers to tackle complex issues.
  • Proactive, organised and able to prioritise time to meet timeframes.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused approach, understanding the importance of delivering a high standard of service.
  • Ability to travel regularly; a driving licence and use of your own vehicle or alternative means of transport is essential.
  • Based in Northamptonshire or Harborough is ideal.
  • Basic DBS check required.
