Platform Property Care has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Multi Skill Carpenter based in Matlock and Chesterfield to join our talented Responsive Repairs and Voids team to help us maintain and improve our homes.
What could you be doing?
- You will be ensuring our customer's homes are maintained and repaired to a great standard.
- You will be an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter who can carry out a range of multi skilled maintenance works such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, wall tiling, flooring, and decoration including major works.
- You will work closely with the Localities Area Manager in this area to manage jobs from inspection, through carrying out the works independently and post inspection once works are completed.
- You will thrive on giving great customer service, keeping jobs on track, and possess the drive to make sure the work is completed to spec.
- You will have full control of your job completion, inclusive of materials and liaison with customers.
The role is varied, and no two days are the same! It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return you'll have the support of a great team!

We Want Somebody Who Can:
- A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude.
- You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication skills.
- You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering good customer service.
- You will also own the work issued and be focused on Right First-Time delivery.
Some Things We Need From You:
- You will be qualified in Carpentry with associated trade skills of Flooring, Plastering, Tiling and Decoration.
- You'll have the ability to demonstrate an expertise in these trades and be able to deliver and resolve a repair job from start to finish.
- Experience of delivering Multi Trade work.
- Qualified to at least NVQ L2 Carpentry.
- Good organisational skills and experience of keeping jobs on track.
- Personal drive to ensure works are completed quickly, efficiently and delivered right first time.
- A full driving licence is essential as this is a mobile role; a van with fuel card is provided.
- As you will be working within Customers' homes, this role requires a DBS check.
- There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota as required.
- This role is for a team covering Matlock and Chesterfield so you will need to live here.
