Overview

Join our team as an Investment Analyst and play a key role in shaping our long-term financial strategy. We\’re looking for a forward-thinking Investment Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our growing dynamic team. In this high-impact role, you\’ll work closely with the Head of Strategic Initiatives and the wider Investment and FP&A team to deliver robust, dynamic Long-Term Financial Plans (LTFPs) and provide insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organisation. You\’ll bring strong commercial acumen and the ability to take a broad view of the business, understanding how shifting assumptions impact long-term financial sustainability and overall performance.

Responsibilities

  • To ensure the LTFP is continuously updated to include the latest financial position and forecasts by working in collaboration with Development Finance, Treasury and Financial Reporting.
  • To ensure the LTFP remains robust, compliant with the Group\’s external Financial Covenants, Financial Golden Rules and meets the core key strategic driver “Strong: Financial Stability”
  • To perform a range of financial modelling, analysis and ‘what-if\’ scenarios to support decision making.
  • To support the preparation of reports and presentations to Senior Management, Executive, Committee and Board.
  • To support data to the Regulator of Social Housing including collation, validation and accurate timely submission.
  • Contribute to wider Group projects related to investment strategy and financial planning.

Qualifications

  • A fully qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent), with strong post-qualification experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in finance / financial services in a large and complex organisation with substantial capital budgets.
  • Experience of financial planning and analysis in a large complex organisation.
  • Advanced IT skills, including complex Excel spreadsheets (with VBA), and confidence working with high value projects.
  • Experience in developing complex and bespoke financial models.
  • Experience of working with operational managers in a support role and of liaising with people at different levels across the business.
  • Although home-based, you must be able to travel to our offices in Solihull and Worcester, typically 2–3 times per month.
