This is a rare and exciting opportunity to help shape how technology, data architecture and analytics support more than 120,000 customers and 2,100 colleagues across one of the UK's largest housing associations. You'll play a pivotal role in helping us deliver better services, make better decisions and create a more connected organisation for the future.

As our Head of Data & Analytics you will:

  • Lead, coach and support the Data Products and Data Engineering team
  • Develop a high-performing data capability with the skills required across data engineering, data architecture, analytics enablement, data product management and AI.
  • Support critical business strategies by managing the planning, design, development, testing, implementation and support of the Data portfolio.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation, with strategic suppliers and partners.
  • Creating a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the development and operation of Platform's central data service, establishing Microsoft Fabric as a trusted, secure and scalable data foundation across customer, property and corporate services.
  • Translate complex data, technology, capacity, cost and risk choices clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, providing appropriate assurance to senior leaders.
  • Support the research and assessment of AI opportunities where practical
  • Keep up to date with developments across Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Copilot, Azure AI and the wider data and analytics market.
  • Develop and maintain data architecture patterns, working with Architecture Services and Application Development

As an experienced strategic leader with strong experience of forming solution design and the ability to accurately explain the design to business stakeholders, you'll bring:

  • Significant leadership experience across technology, applications, data, digital or AI within a complex organisation.
  • Proven experience of Interpreting information, carrying out research, analysing complex data, making sound judgements, appraising performance and managing risk.
  • Strong experience of forming solution design and the ability to accurately explain the design to business stakeholders
  • Data migration and extraction from Dynamics and the Common Data Service/DataFlex
  • Strong experience of working with multiple levels of a business, understanding stakeholder requirements, and turning these into SDLC solutions
  • Strong experience of using a data visualisation tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau etc.)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products, including Dynamics 365 and advanced Excel techniques
  • A track record of leading transformational change and multidisciplinary teams.

  • The ability to build trusted relationships with Senior leaders and operational teams alike.
  • A passion for developing people and creating high‑performance teams.

Most importantly, you'll understand that technology is at its most powerful when it helps people thrive and improves the experience of customers and colleagues alike.

Although this is a home-Based role, it sits on our Information-directorate SMT and there would be a minimum of twice monthly travel to our Solihull/Worcester Group offices as well as an expectation to facilitate team meetings in person so you must live within a reasonable commute to be considered.
