The Vacancy
Calling all Grounds Maintenance Operatives in Matlock!
Platform Property Care has a permanent position for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Grounds Maintenance Team based in Matlock covering our Estates and communities here and the surrounding area. This is an ideal role for someone who loves working outdoors and creating great looking environments for our customers.
What could you be doing?
You will be responsible for looking afterthe green areas in and around our estates. Your duties willinclude tractor and pedestrian grass maintenance, brush cutting/strimming, hedge cutting, shrub pruning, planting, weeding, and litter picking.
Working for Platform Property Care you will benefit from
• Basic salary of £26,319 per annum
• Additional payment of £564 per annum*
• Permanent contract with work all year round
• 25 days holiday plus 8 paid bank holidays

Some things we need from you:
• You’ll be motivated and passionate about making a difference to our external landscape
• You’ll have a full UK driving licence – this is essential as it is a mobile role
• You will need to live within commutable distance of our Molyneux Business Park, Matlock depot.
• You will really enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
• You’ll have a good Health & Safety knowledge
• And have relevant grounds maintenance experience ideally for a local authority or housing association/ gardening/horticultural skills, or qualifications
The working pattern for this role is a permanent annualised contract:
Summer (March – November) 42.5 hours a week Monday to Friday
Winter (December – February) 32.5 hours a week Monday to Friday
