Join our team as a Finance Business Partner! We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to manage the accurate accounting of Asset Management income and costs. In this role, you will provide financial support to the Asset Management team, help shape policy, assist budget holders in achieving value for money, and promote corporate objectives and values.

Offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis to cover an internal secondment, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growing Asset Management team. You will play a key role in supporting our reinvestment programmes and contributing to our mission of investing in people and places to build a stronger, more sustainable future.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Support budget holders in preparing asset management budgets and monthly financial forecasts.
  • Deliver on the monthly and quarterly management accounts information for asset management items including variance notes for the Group.
  • Provide a financial service for all asset management items for all tenures.
  • Provide leadership, direction, coaching, management and support to direct reports and their teams, to effectively deliver their team objectives and to develop their potential.

Some of the things we are looking for:

  • Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant with demonstrable accounting experience within a large complex organisation with substantial budgets.
  • Experience of working in a business partnering role with strong communications skills and the ability to collaborate with senior budget holders and non-finance colleagues to achieve results.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and experience of interpreting information, carrying out research, analysing complex data, appraising performance and understanding and managing risk and compliance matters.
  • Experience within a Housing/Construction/Property related business would be considered desirable.

While this role is home based, you should have the ability to travel to Group offices and other locations as required. Our Group offices are based in Central Park, Worcester and Birmingham Business Park, Solihull.
