Overview
Are you looking to build a career in Finance? We are currently looking for someone to join our Rent Accounting Team as a Finance Assistant on a permanent basis. This is the perfect time to join us on our journey to provide a truly modern finance function. There is a supportive culture within the team providing you with a strong platform to gain experience and exposure to Rent Accounting. As a Finance Assistant, you will play an important role in assisting with the provision of rent accounting for the Group.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring property information is recorded accurately to report rent performance.
- Assisting with the preparation of the annual Group rent budget and any revisions.
- Providing support to budget holders across the organisation.
- Working with the development, finance and wider operational teams to ensure property information is accurately recorded.
- Carrying out various reconciliations and checks, such as rent debit reconciliation for all rent groups.
- Providing an effective service to enable customer facing colleagues to provide an appropriate level of service.
Skills and qualifications
- You will have excellent IT skills with experience of using Microsoft packages like Excel and Word.
- The ability to establish sustained working relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- An AAT Level 2 qualification or similar would be preferred but not essential.
- Experience in either a finance service role or in the Housing sector would be helpful but also not essential.
Location and travel
Although this role is home-based, you should be able to travel to our Group offices approximately once a week as needed. Our offices are located at Birmingham Business Park and Central Park, Worcester. Any necessary travel expenses will be reimbursed according to the current Inland Revenue mileage rates.
