We are creating a new opportunity for a Housing Data Quality & Assurance Lead to help us better understand and improve our services through the effective use of data and insight. This is not a traditional data role. You'll work across housing operations to identify patterns, highlight where poor or inconsistent information is impacting customers, and turn that insight into practical improvements. You'll play a key role in shaping how we connect operational reality with governance visibility, helping the organisation see issues earlier, respond more effectively, and improve outcomes for customers. This is an opportunity to be part of a new approach that connects data, customer experience and service improvement. The work you do will directly influence how we understand our services, identify issues and improve outcomes for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and assure high data quality standards across key operational processes by embedding governance, conducting risk-based reviews and producing RAG rated insights for Senior Leaders and stakeholders.
  • Identify and address systemic data risks by analysing processes, reviewing cases for compliance, and recommending improvements to processes and data handling practices.
  • Communicate data risks, assurance insights, and expectations clearly to senior leaders and non-technical teams, translating complex issues into practical, actionable information.
  • Act as a key link between operational teams and data governance, supporting data owners, challenging poor practices, embedding standards, and enabling effective responses to audits, regulators, and Ombudsman queries.
  • You will also line manage an Operational Data Improvement Officer, providing leadership and support to ensure they can bring their best to the role.

Qualifications

  • Effective communication with the ability to turn complex issues into simple narratives that others can understand.
  • Ability to influence change with key stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate data issues and identify root causes.
  • Experience working with operational data and business systems such as housing management or customer management platforms would be preferred.
  • Ability to travel between Group offices and to other locations as required.

Benefits

  • Up to 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) with the opportunity to buy and sell leave.
  • Family friendly policies including generous Paternity, Maternity, Shared Parental and Adoption leave plus 3 days paid Urgent Domestic Leave.
  • Medicash membership for all employees which includes access to an employee assistance programme, discounted gym membership and exclusive discounts.
  • Health Cash Plan worth up to £1700 p/a with cashback for dental, optical, physio and complementary therapies and more.
  • Pension contribution scheme with employer contributions of up to 12% (inclusive of life assurance and dependent on employee contributions).
  • Learning and Development opportunities.
  • Salary sacrifice electric vehicle scheme.
  • Employee reward and recognition scheme with wellbeing hub and discount from a wide range of retailers.
