Home Based With Travel As Required

Salary: Up to £88,948 per annum (depending on experience)

Permanent/Full time 35 Hours per week

Can you help make a real difference to our homes and communities? Join us as our Head of Planned Investment, where you'll provide strategic leadership for Platform's delivery partnerships and oversee the operational delivery of home improvements through the planned investment programme, including components, retrofit and major projects, across all three locality areas. You'll ensure that all works are high quality, keeping all our homes safe, compliant, sustainable and aligned with customer expectations. This is an exciting time to join us to support our mission of investing in people and places to build a stronger more sustainable future. We are underway with the procurement of new delivery partners on long-term arrangements and implementing a new delivery IT system to support the team. You'll be joining at a time to influence and inform these key enablers.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and motivate a high performing team across all locality areas, embedding an inclusive, customer focused culture.
  • Oversee delivery of all planned investment programmes, ensuring strong performance, risk management and financial control of a significant multimillion pound budget.
  • Drive continuous improvement through effective policies, processes and operational leadership.
  • Maintain robust programme and project management standards, ensuring compliance, quality and value for money.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial and Procurement team to ensure outsourced services and work programmes deliver clear value for money for the Group.
  • Build strategic partnerships, lead the Platform Delivery Partnership and collaborate across teams to deliver safe, sustainable, high-quality homes.

Some Things We're Looking For

  • An excellent leader with strong managerial, motivational and people focused skills, experienced in managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Significant experience in programme forecasting, planning, management and delivery, including work to occupied properties.
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, contract administration and contract management.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement operational plans, manage significant budgets and deliver results in fast paced, changing environments.
  • Strong track record of operational delivery across multisite locations with a focus on quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

Where You'll Work

This role is home-based, with occasional travel to our Group offices and other locations across our housing stock as needed. This includes visits to our offices in Worcester, Solihull, and Louth. You'll also participate in our out of hours escalation rota, ensuring we continue to make safe and informed decisions whenever our customers need us.
