Join Platform Property Care (PPC) as an Apprentice and you will be joining a well‑established property maintenance business. We provide responsive day‑to‑day repairs, property refurbishment, and electrical and gas servicing for our 120,000 customers living in 48,000 homes across the Midlands. What will you be doing as an Apprentice Heating Engineer?

As an Apprentice Heating Engineer, you will learn all about what it takes to make sure our customers’ homes are maintained to a high and safe standard. You will produce work of the highest quality while providing excellent service to our customers, clients, and your team. As part of this apprenticeship, you will learn how Heating Engineers keep our customers’ homes warm and how boilers and heating systems are well maintained to a high and safe standard. The work will be varied and interesting and you will have the support of a mentor throughout your apprenticeship.

At college, you will study the Gas Engineering Operative Apprenticeship standard at Level 3 by attending Stamford College (or similar provider) one day a week, alongside learning and working with experienced operatives during the rest of the week.

  • Ideally you would need to hold a full driving licence; this is not essential initially but the role is mobile so a licence will be required.
