Mission & Responsibilities

  • As a Plant Buyer, you will manage all MRO and indirect purchasing activities at plant level, ensuring compliance with OP Mobility’s governance rules, purchasing policy, and legal standards.
  • Manage local purchasing activities and ensure compliance with internal processes.
  • Own and evaluate the plant supply base through annual vendor rating.
  • Monitor supplier risks with support from Finance (financial health, dependency rate, etc.).
  • Benchmark MRO costs with other plants and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop synergies with other buyers to leverage volumes and optimize costs.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure fair competition and best total cost.
  • Manage RFQs, sourcing recommendations, and contract implementation.
  • Oversee the order-to-pay process and propose process optimizations.
  • Track performance through KPIs, report savings, and drive technical cost reductions.
  • Lead or participate in working groups focused on savings and problem-solving.

Competencies & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in purchasing, ideally in an industrial or automotive environment.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cost analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP tools.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
  • Proactive, analytical, and results-oriented with strong communication skills.
