About Plasma

Plasma is building a financial network for stablecoins. Our flagship product, Plasma One, is a stablecoin neobank that lets people hold dollars, send and receive money globally in seconds, earn yield, and spend with a Visa card in 150+ countries. We are live in private beta with 100,000+ people on the waitlist. Plasma One is built on the Plasma network, a blockchain designed from first principles for stablecoin payments. By building the full stack, from protocol infrastructure to the app people use every day, we make stablecoins feel as simple, reliable, and useful as money should. Stablecoins are becoming the default way money moves globally. Plasma is building the product and infrastructure layer that brings them to everyone.

Team Culture

At Plasma, you join a team that is rewriting how the world interacts with money. We hire people who are relentless about their craft and expect that same standard from everyone around them. This is where you will do the hardest and most meaningful work of your career. We work with trust, clarity, and ambition. Everyone owns their craft, moves with urgency, and contributes beyond their lane. We back each other, we debate hard, and we hold a high bar for what great looks like. Plasma is built for people who thrive on challenge and want to leave a mark.

What you will do

  • Support KYC onboarding end-to-end: Work alongside our senior specialist to manage the customer verification lifecycle for Plasma One, including document collection, identity checks, and initial risk flagging. You will operate under guidance while building the judgement to handle cases more independently over time.
  • Work within SumSub: Process verification flows, review auto-decision outputs, and help manage manual review queues. You will learn the platform hands-on in a live production environment.
  • Develop crypto-native awareness: Build your understanding of risk profiles specific to stablecoin wallets, DeFi interactions, and cross-border crypto transactions. You will be supported in learning how to use Elliptic or equivalent blockchain analytics tooling to screen wallets and flag exposure.
  • Help maintain customer monitoring: Keep customer files accurate and up to date, support periodic reviews, and flag changes in customer behaviour - maintaining audit-ready documentation that meets FCA and broader regulatory expectations.
  • Be a point of contact during onboarding: Handle inbound customer queries on document requirements and verification status, escalating more complex or sensitive cases to senior team members.
  • Collaborate and keep learning: Work with Product, Operations, and Engineering to surface process feedback, while actively building your knowledge of UK and EU regulatory developments affecting stablecoins and digital assets.

Who you are

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a KYC, compliance, onboarding, or financial crime operations role, ideally within fintech, payments, or crypto. Strong candidates at the very start of their career will also be considered if the other criteria fit.
  • Genuinely curious about crypto. You do not need to be an expert, but you need to understand the basics of how crypto works and be motivated to go deeper. This is a crypto-native environment, and that interest matters.
  • Detail-oriented and compliance-minded: you take accuracy seriously, understand why documentation matters, and do not cut corners.
  • A clear communicator: you can write a straightforward decision rationale and flag issues concisely without overcomplicating things.
  • Comfortable asking questions and escalating: knowing when you need support is a strength at this level, not a weakness.
  • Organised under pressure: onboarding queues move quickly, and you can keep pace without letting quality slip.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment: Plasma is scaling quickly. Processes are still being shaped and you see that as an opportunity.
  • You are fine stepping in to support Customer operations too: This will be part of the role.

Nice to have

  • Any exposure to SumSub, Elliptic, Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or similar compliance tooling, even in a training or demo context.
  • Basic familiarity with the FCA regulatory landscape as it applies to crypto businesses.
  • An ICA Certificate, CAMS qualification, or similar compliance certification, or active progress toward one.
  • Experience handling customer communications in a compliance or operations context.
  • Interest in stablecoin or DeFi products and curiosity about the compliance challenges they create.
  • Prior involvement in process improvement or workflow documentation within an operations team.

What's in it for you

At Plasma, we give you the environment and tools to do the best work of your life. Competitive salary for the level of the role, plus token compensation. Premium health insurance for you and your family, fully covered by Plasma. Monthly wellness budget, whether for the gym, therapy, sauna, or massage. All the tools and tech you need to operate at your best. We look after you.
