About the role We are recruiting experienced warehouse operatives to join our client's industrial kitchen in Barking on an ongoing basis. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced food production environment, with full training provided and the opportunity to develop your skills. You will work as part of a busy team preparing food, maintaining high hygiene standards and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the facility. The working environment may be chilled or ambient, and full personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. Main responsibilities · Wash, peel, chop, cut and cook food and vegetables · Keep food preparation areas clean and hygienic · Wash utensils and dishes, and store them correctly · Sort, store and distribute ingredients · Dispose of waste safely and appropriately · Maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the facility · Weigh and label products accurately What we're looking for · Previous experience in a warehouse, food production or kitchen environment · Food preparation experience is advantageous but not essential · A reliable, energetic and adaptable approach · Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions · A strong awareness of warehouse health and safety ·
