We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity to join our client at their site in Rainham. We are looking for experienced Warehouse Operatives to join this friendly team where there is plenty of scope for career progression for any ambitious candidates. These positions are full-time roles with excellent opportunities to lead to permanent contracts for the right candidates in the future. Our client is always looking to upskill their employees and provide you with opportunities for growth within their company. The Role:

  • Picking / Packing of orders, including online orders
  • Manual handling of weights up to 15kg
  • Stock check
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Using the PPT to move stock to the correct locations
  • Some roles will require completion of paperwork
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and operate a 'clean as you go' approach
  • Liaise with other departments where necessary

Working in a busy packaged food distribution warehouse, you will have various warehouse duties that can include but are not limited to re-stocking, loading/unloading, driver's mate, moving stock, picking/packing, stock check. This is a physical role and can be heavy at times. These roles are ongoing for the long term. You must have previous experience working in a similar role, be reliable and a good team player.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Awareness of Health & Safety
  • Good level of English
  • Team player
  • Committed and reliable
  • Must be physically fit as lifting will be involved
  • Must have safety shoes/boots and hi-vis vest

Please be aware this is a 15-20 minute walk from the nearest transport links.

Hours & Salary: Hours are Monday to Friday between 10am-8pm. Hourly pay rate £12.21.
