We are looking for a reliable Transport and Warehouse Coordinator to join our client in Chingford for a temporary project. This role involves both order picking and goods receiving, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of stock and shipments and obtaining prices for and booking transport. The ideal candidate will help maintain a safe and organised warehouse environment and ensure products are managed with care, leaving the business on time on an appropriate method of transport.
Duties
- Accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment, following company standards and customer requirements.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods, checking for quality and accuracy.
- Organise and store products in designated areas to maintain a neat and efficient warehouse.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory control as needed.
- Operate warehouse equipment (such as forklifts or pallet jacks) safely and in compliance with regulations.
- Obtain quotes, place bookings for transport and record this information.
- Create delivery paperwork and ensure that these are signed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in materials handling.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse setting.
- Basic maths skills for inventory management and documentation purposes.
- Ability to lift loads safely, demonstrating physical fitness for the role.
- Experience in coordinating transport.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- A valid forklift operator certification.
- Good communication.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm
Hourly pay rate: £12.82
