We are looking for an experienced Exhibition Carpenter to join our client based in Orpington for a temporary project, producing and installing high-quality exhibition stands and bespoke display projects. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, works well under pressure, and can deliver high standards to tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Building exhibition stands, display units, and bespoke joinery items
- Reading and working from technical drawings
- Using workshop machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
- Assembly, fitting, and finishing work to a high standard
- Assisting with installations and breakdowns when required
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Ensure all work practices and work areas adhere to Health & Safety legislation at all times
- Supporting the wider team as required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year previous carpentry experience ideally in exhibition carpentry
- Effective communication
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Shift Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
Hourly pay rate: £15.75 - £18.00 dependent upon experience
