Our client based in Dartford has an exciting opportunity to join their friendly team as an Administrator to support their daily operations. This role involves a mix of administrative, operational, and compliance tasks to help ensure that production, inventory, and documentation run efficiently and in accordance with food safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support to sales, production, quality assurance, warehouse, and management teams.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with tracking purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier documentation.
  • Handle office communications, including answering phones, responding to emails, and routing inquiries to appropriate departments.
  • Prepare and file documentation required for food safety compliance (e.g., HACCP records, traceability logs, cleaning schedules).
  • Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, and assist with report preparation.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with external vendors and contractors.
  • Order and manage office and production-related supplies.
  • Ensure all administrative procedures support food safety, hygiene, and company quality standards.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably in manufacturing or food production.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and industry compliance (e.g., HACCP, GMP) would be advantageous.
  • Any additional qualifications in business administration or food safety are a plus.
  • Qualified to A Level or equivalent standard (e.g., IB Diploma, Level 3 qualification).

WORKING ATTRIBUTES

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm. This role is on a temp – perm basis, subject to satisfactory performance and attendance this role will become permanent after 12 weeks.
