Join a thriving transport operation in Northampton as a Transport Clerk.
Working a stable Monday-to-Friday shift, you will be the backbone of their traffic office.
You will ensure drivers, clients, and internal teams stay perfectly aligned.

Main duties, but not limited to
- Ensure accurate and effective management of traffic administration office duties in accordance with legislation and operational work instructions
- Contribute to achieving all contractual KPI’s with particular emphasis on POD accuracy, fleet utilisation and cost control
- Ensure all administrative and IT functions are completed in line with company policy and procedures and client requirements
- Produce reports as requested by contract supervisors and/or managers
- To deal with any incoming/outgoing telephone calls politely and confidently, using own initiative to solve any situations that may arise
- Ensure high standards of Health & Safety, cleanliness and tidiness throughout the working environment
- Attend any developmental training as required in compliance with the Company's commitment to the Investors in People Standard
- Confidently handle drivers on site
Candidate requirements
- Transport Experience: Proven experience working in a fast-paced transport office environment.
- Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to manage drivers on-site and speak with clients politely and professionally.
- Tech Savvy: Good Microsoft Office skills (experience with Transport Management Systems is a major plus).
- Organisational Skills: The ability to multitask, work under pressure, and use your own initiative.
- Flexibility: Comfortable working most Bank Holidays as part of your standard rota.
Shift: The shift is Monday to Friday, rotating weekly, week 1 will be AM shift 05:45 - 14:15, week 2 will be PM shift 13:45 – 22:15.
Hourly pay rate: £13.79
Role: This role is temporary for around 12 months due to company relocation to Corby.
