Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our client based in Silvertown (London, E16). They are looking for experienced Furniture Fitter / Assemblers to join their busy, professional team. All fitters are required to have their own tools, so you should possess basic tools such as screwdrivers, drills, Allen keys, etc. You will be assisting their customers with commercial and domestic relocations of furniture and office suites.
Responsibilities
- Assist with safe loading and unloading of vehicle; some heavy lifting involved
- Safely move furniture on site as required
- Assembly and installation of furniture in customers\\\' properties
- Unassemble and removal of old items on a like-for-like basis
- Maintain a high standard of tidiness
- Be friendly and helpful with customers, colleagues and management
- Work safely and efficiently to deadlines
- Follow site instructions and health & safety requirements
Candidate criteria
- Previous hands-on furniture or assembly experience, a minimum of one year in a similar role
- Demonstrate a good level of English
- Excellent customer service with a positive and friendly attitude
- Committed, reliable with good teamwork
- Good time management skills
- Own set of basic tools and ability to use safely and correctly
- Be physically fit
- Must provide checkable employment references
Shift & Benefits
- Hours can vary; flexibility required with start times from 6am to 2pm (9 hour shift)
- Company operates 7 days a week; working 5 out of 7 days may include weekends
- Hourly pay rate £13.79
- Company uniform must be worn for all shifts
- DBS may be undertaken to permit working at certain sites
- Workplace pension contributions
- 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
