We have an exciting new opportunity to work as a Hygiene Operative in a busy food production company based in Barking. We are looking for an energetic, experienced person to strengthen their friendly team working on the night shift.
Role purpose: Responsible for the cleanliness of all designated production rooms, equipment, and facilities areas using appropriate equipment and/or materials as supplied in line with cleaning schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness with assigned areas by ensuring that relevant work instructions/schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.
- Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of all washrooms/toilet facilities, locker rooms, canteens, kitchens, offices, and other common areas including warehouse.
- Ensure cleanliness of factory production areas, including but not limited to the production equipment, surfaces, overheads, etc.
- Liaise daily with other members of the production team in identifying areas/procedures requiring improvement to allow improved performance.
- Ensure the stocks of cleaning chemicals are stored safely and report any shortfalls.
- Ensure all products are used and stored in accordance with the relevant COSHH Regulations.
- Ensure completion of all hygiene related documents, i.e., daily check-list reports.
