We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our client in Erith. The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical knowledge and experience with various tools and machinery. This role involves operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment, ensuring quality standards, and supporting production processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor various manufacturing machines
  • Set up machines using drawings and tooling specifications
  • Programme and troubleshoot
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and adjustments on machinery to ensure smooth operation
  • Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and moving components within the workspace
  • Maintain accurate records of production output and machine performance
  • Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment at all times
  • Work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Be reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Have a willingness to work either morning or afternoon shifts as required

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environments
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during setup and operation
  • Warehouse experience or familiarity with materials logistics is advantageous
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met

Shift: Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm (flexible to switch to 2pm - 10pm once trained and if needed)

Pay: £14.50 whilst in training. £15.08 when fully trained.
