Our client based in Tottenham is seeking experienced Counterbalance Forklift drivers to join their friendly team. We are looking for someone with experience working within a warehouse environment that holds a valid certificate for Counterbalance forklift by a recognised training body; we cannot accept in-house certificates. They are a busy mailing department and you will be responsible for internal stock movement using counterbalance forklift and powered pallet trucks. You will be required to assist in the warehouse with ad hoc duties when stock movement is not required. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment is paramount along with a proven work history of fork truck use.
Candidate requirements:
- Counterbalance Forklift certificate and at least 4 years experience
- Experience operating a powered pump truck (PPT) and at least 3 years experience
- Able to work both independently and as part of the team
- Be self-motivated and highly organized with good attention to detail
- Be quality conscious and efficient with good communication skills
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
- Awareness of Health & Safety
- Good level of English
- Team player that works well with others
- Committed and reliable
- Must be physically fit as lifting will be involved
- Must have safety shoes/boots and hi-vis vest
Shift: Monday to Friday 7am - 3.30pm
Please note: The initial training will be provided on 10.30am – 7pm for 2-3 days.
Hourly rate: £13.97
28 days annual leave inclusive of 8 bank holidays, online payslips, weekly pay, pension contribution. This role is for immediate start and can be permanent, subject to a successful probation period.
