The Role
We’re looking for a mid-weight Art Director who can help elevate our creative output across all brand touch points. You’ll support our Founder/Creative Director bring Planthood’s creative vision to life across all channels, with an initial focus on social media and digital marketing. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role for someone confident in executing ideas and helping elevate work across design, photography, and video. You’ll work from established creative direction, contributing ideas, shaping visuals, and ensuring content is executed beautifully and consistently – particularly in a social-first environment. This role is ideal for someone who loves making, thrives in fast-moving creative teams, and wants to grow toward a senior art direction role.
Responsibilities
- Support the Creative Director in delivering social-first creative across all channels.
- Execute and elevate visual concepts across design, photography, and video.
- Develop mood boards, visual references, layouts, and creative treatments.
- Help plan and support shoots, from pre-production through to post.
- Create and oversee visual assets for social, campaigns, and digital platforms.
- Ensure all output aligns with Planthood's visual identity and brand standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Brand, designers, videographers, photographers, and strategists.
- Support and help raise the standard of creative execution across the team.
About You
Midweight experience in an art direction or design-led creative role. Strong portfolio showing social-first, concept-driven visual work. Confident working across design, photography, and video. Solid grounding in design principles, layout, typography, and composition. Comfortable executing ideas as well as contributing creatively to concepts. Collaborative, detail-driven, and eager to learn from senior creative leadership. Passionate about culture, content, and how brands show up on social.
