The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
This role sits at the heart of our warehouse and production operation, ensuring stock, people and processes work seamlessly together. You will play a key part in keeping daily activity running smoothly, safely and efficiently, while balancing operational demands with cost control and quality. Working closely with production, logistics and wider business teams, you will take ownership of planning, coordination and continuous improvement. Your focus will be on accuracy, reliability and creating an environment where the team can perform at their best and hit shared targets.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing stock management, ensuring high levels of accuracy, rotation and minimal waste
- Championing health & safety compliance, leading by example and maintaining a safe working environment
- Managing day-to-day warehouse and production operations to meet service and performance targets
- Leading, allocating and supporting the team through clear direction, training and feedback
- Planning and prioritising production to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines
- Collaborating with internal teams to align stock levels, production plans and logistics
- Monitoring labour, transport and operational costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency
- Maintaining accurate records and reports across stock, production and compliance
- Using data and insight to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Contributing to a positive, engaged team culture focused on quality and accountability
Line Managers are responsible for promoting a safe working environment and ensuring their team follows Health & Safety policies. They provide guidance, training and supervision, ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are followed, address hazards promptly, report and support investigations of incidents, ensure staff have proper equipment and PPE, and lead by example to foster a positive safety culture.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience overseeing warehouse and production operations, with a strong handle on stock, safety and day-to-day delivery
- Confidence leading and supporting a small team to meet shared operational goals
- A practical approach to stock control, audits and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Working knowledge of health & safety standards, with experience embedding safe ways of working
- The ability to balance planning, priorities and cost awareness in a fast-moving environment
- Comfort using ERP systems to manage inventory, production planning and operational data
- A solid, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook for reporting, documentation and scheduling
- A forklift licence (B1), or willingness to maintain certification
- A continuous-improvement mindset, always looking for smarter, more efficient ways of working

- Exposure to health & safety or risk assessment software tools
- Familiarity with transport or logistics platforms used for delivery planning and cost control

This is an office-based role at our HQ in Henham, Bishop’s Stortford.
