The opportunity
Due to a period of sustained business growth, we are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Installation Technician. As an Installation Technician, you will be the final touchpoint in our client\\\’s experience, bringing our designs to life with precision and care. You will be responsible for the safe and skilful installation of a wide variety of plants at diverse locations. While knowledge of plant care will be taught if not already, a strong sense of professionalism and a proactive approach to problem-solving is essential.
Location & Hours
The role is permanent and will start from Henham each morning at 5am. You will then travel to various client sites across the country. Working hours are between 5am-2pm each day and over time opportunities are available with Saturday work 1-2 times per month.
Key deliverables
- Expert Plant Installation & Maintenance: Execute the professional installation of plants, planters, and related irrigation systems according to project specifications and design plans.
- Plant health & commissioning: Ensure all plants are properly acclimatised and installed in conditions that will promote their long-term health and growth.
- Final hydration: Perform a final, thorough watering of all newly installed plants before departing the site, ensuring they are well-hydrated for their new environment.
- Issue identification: Proactively identify and address any potential issues with plant health or installation before they become a problem.
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients. This includes contacting key customers in advance to confirm arrival times and manage expectations and providing them with basic care instructions for their new plants.
- Maintain the highest level of professional behaviour and a positive, helpful attitude at all times.
- Conduct a final walk-through with the client to ensure customer satisfaction with the completed installation. You\\\’ll address any immediate concerns and confirm their happiness before concluding the job.
Operational Integrity & Safety
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct comprehensive daily vehicle checks on company-provided transportation to ensure it is in a safe and roadworthy condition. Any maintenance needs must be reported immediately.
- In the event of an instance or accident, you will be responsible for following the established reporting procedures, documenting the event accurately and informing the management team without delay.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle, representing the company brand professionally at all times.
- A high degree of professionalism and integrity in all business dealings
Communication & Reporting
- Act as a crucial link between the field and the office.
- Promptly report any issues to the management team for resolution. This includes unexpected site conditions, supply shortages, or concerns about a plant\\\’s health.
- Provide clear and concise feedback on project completion, ensuring all necessary paperwork is filled out accurately and submitted in a timely manner
