Horticultural Technician - Exterior

Your role focuses on looking after our plants in our client premises within our Eastern region within London (London-East). As a Technician, you will provide excellent customer service and be a point of knowledge for our clients about the maintenance and care of exterior planting. This is an independent role which will involve early starts each day and taking ownership for plant maintenance at several client sites on a seasonal roster.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Stunning Outdoor Displays: You’ll be responsible for caring for a variety of external plant displays at multiple client sites each day, ensuring every location looks its absolute best.
• Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: You’ll be the friendly face our clients see, providing excellent service, completing site reports, and keeping accurate records using our company systems.
• Collaborate with a Supportive Team: Work closely with your Team Leader and Line Manager to ensure all routes are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Champion Safety: You’ll always work safely, following all risk assessments and method statements, and helping to maintain our excellent safety record.

• Customer service expertise: You take pride in delivering excellent service and always go the extra mile to keep clients happy.
• A problem-first mindset: You enjoy finding solutions and thinking on your feet, especially when faced with new challenges.
• An enthusiasm and passion for plants: You have a genuine interest in plants and the outdoors, your passion shines through in your work.
• The ability to navigate the eastern region of London: You’re comfortable driving a company van around London and can find your way to different client sites with ease.
• The ability to work independently, yet collaboratively: You’re happy working on your own, but you also enjoy sharing knowledge and supporting your team.
• An explorer mindset: You can easily orient yourself in large office buildings and outdoor spaces, making sure every display gets the care it deserves.
• An eagerness to learn: Some horticultural knowledge is a plus, but don’t worry if you’re not an expert, we provide full training.
• The ability to take on a physically active role: You’re able to use watering cans, stepladders, and stools as part of your daily routine, and you enjoy being on the move.

The role is permanent 37.5 hours per week, based at our client sites within your London region.
