Plant-Tech Ltd is a small family run business based in Bristol, providing mobile plant engineering services throughout the UK. We support a range of industries by offering servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and statutory inspections. Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit a Mobile Plant Fitter for a Field Service Role. You will be home-based, travelling to and working at customer sites to service and repair their plant and machinery. Occasional nights away may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and repairing heavy plant equipment to the highest standards.
  • Diagnosing and solving hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues.
  • Carrying out statutory compliance inspections under LOLER/PUWER.
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with customers.
  • Complying with all company policy and procedures, including health & safety.
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive service and maintenance records via online jobsheets.

Skills, Experience and Personal Qualities:

  • Minimum 5 years previous experience of working in a similar role or having served a recognised apprenticeship in this field with at least 3 years post apprenticeship experience.
  • Previous experience working with heavy plant equipment is essential.
  • The ability to diagnose technical faults and take ownership to resolve problems.
  • The ability to use multi-brand diagnostic equipment to aid with fault diagnosis.
  • The ability to work unsupervised, using your own initiative.
  • Self-motivated, with excellent time management skills.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to build good working relationships with customers.
  • Knowledgeable with hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • A full driving licence is essential.

Pay & Benefits Package:

We offer a competitive salary dependent on skills and experience. A company van will be provided as well as a phone and tablet.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent.

Work Location: South West based, covering the UK.
