Plant Plan are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, organised, and proactive Purchasing Assistant to be a part of our amazing team. This is an office-based role, from our HQ in Enderby, Leicester.

About the Role:

This role sits within our Purchasing Team, and reports directly to the Purchasing Manager. We are a planting company, so you will be involved in purchasing plants, planters, associated sundries and equipment, and the multitude of other things our business needs to run effectively. We work on projects of all shapes, sizes and timeframes, and it's a varied and interesting role. A knowledge of plants and the horticulture industry would be useful but is not essential.

Key tasks are as follows:

  • Order Management - collate orders from multiple projects and pull together for delivery on one order.
  • Price Management - maintain records of pricing, and work with suppliers to ensure that we are buying at the best possible rate.
  • Placing Orders - work with our suppliers to place orders and ensure that the goods will be with us when we require them.
  • Sourcing - find the suppliers who can provide the products that we need.
  • Supplier Management - keep up to date records of all suppliers, and find new ones to help us keep our product offering fresh and competitive.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary: £29,000 - £33,000 per annum (DOE)
