Plant Designs are London’s leading independent design-led plant experts, providing creative greenery and quality care to the capital’s workplaces and event spaces. Working with some of the city’s most prestigious companies, including leading Architects, Designers, FM Management, and experiential event agencies. We design, install, and care for magnificent plant displays, working with over 500 clients to build life into their spaces and events. We pride ourselves on our award-winning designs and our ability, through the collaboration and experience of our team, to care for them. We work together across commercial planting and events to provide our clients with a quality and broad ranging horticultural service.

The Role: We are looking for a client-centric, personable Account Manager with a growth mindset to join our expanding Account Management team. This role focuses on building and nurturing long-term relationships with both existing and prospective clients, ensuring high levels of service and uncovering opportunities for organic growth. Strong client relationships will be key to generating referrals and warm leads, helping to expand our network and uncover new business opportunities. With the support of a dedicated Business Development team focused on securing new business opportunities, this role centres around relationship management, account retention, and identifying strategic growth opportunities within your portfolio. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver a seamless, high-quality experience from first contact through ongoing service.

Objectives & Responsibilities:

  • Represent Plant Designs’ products and services, adhering to our core values and contributing to team sales targets and KPIs.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of our services and communicate them confidently to a wide range of clients.
  • Carry out daily account management responsibilities for your assigned clients.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships to drive retention and account growth.
  • Identify and act on cross-selling opportunities across our service offering.
  • Build trust with clients to encourage referrals and generate warm, qualified leads.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to support handovers of new accounts.
  • Respond efficiently to client queries, feedback, and inbound enquiries.
  • Attend regular site visits and in-person meetings with both existing and potential clients.
  • Work with our in-house graphics team to prepare tailored, accurate proposals and presentations.
  • Work with the Horticultural Services team to continue building your plant knowledge and service insight.
  • Attend networking events and trade shows to grow your industry connections.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts department to ensure smooth client administration and invoicing.
  • Maintain clear, accurate account documentation and support smooth communication between sales and operations teams.

Candidate Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, client management, or account handling.
  • Demonstrated success in relationship-based roles with a client-first approach.
  • A self-starter with initiative, who enjoys working in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to uncover organic growth opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Professional and personable – we value team spirit and a positive attitude.
  • Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Experience in interior landscaping and horticulture is advantageous, but not essential.

This is a full-time role based in Central London, working between our Farringdon office/showroom and client sites. The basic salary will be dependent on experience, with commission-based incentives linked to performance (OTE £55,000 per annum). You’ll be joining a hard-working, sociable, and supportive team.
