Information Manager (BIM)

My client is an award-winning, employee-owned architectural practice with an excellent reputation for delivering innovative projects across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Information Manager to join their dedicated Digital Team in Nottingham.

This is an exciting opportunity for a BIM professional to play a key role in delivering high-quality Information Management services in line with ISO 19650 and the UK BIM Framework. Working at the forefront of digital project delivery, you will help drive BIM excellence, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and support the continued development of digital processes across the practice.

The Role

As Information Manager, you will be responsible for managing BIM workflows and Information Management processes across multiple projects, ensuring collaborative, efficient and compliant project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing project Information Management requirements and producing BIM documentation, including BEPs, DRMs and TIDPs.
  • Establishing Information Management validation processes using Solibri and IDS.
  • Carrying out structured reviews of federated IFC models, including clash detection and asset data validation.
  • Managing issue tracking through online collaboration platforms and leading BIM coordination meetings.
  • Providing BIM training and guidance to project teams, consultants and supply chain partners.
  • Supporting internal teams with BIM model setup, IFC exports and Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows.
  • Promoting collaboration between multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Developing internal BIM standards, systems and processes to improve digital delivery.
  • Keeping up to date with emerging BIM technologies and recommending improvements to workflows.
  • Supporting the Head of Digital with Information Management fee proposals and bid submissions.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong experience using Revit, Solibri and BIM interoperability tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of ISO 19650, the UK BIM Framework and Information Management best practice.
  • A thorough understanding of IFC hierarchy, export settings and BIM workflows.
  • Experience working with COBie data and Information Management deliverables.
  • Good knowledge of UK construction processes, including procurement, design and construction.
  • A solid understanding of Architectural, Structural and MEP design principles.
  • Previous experience leading BIM teams or mentoring colleagues in BIM processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience using ArchiCAD.
  • Knowledge of Common Data Environments such as Viewpoint or Asite.
  • Experience delivering Information Management requirements on public sector frameworks.
  • Familiarity with BIMCollab or other BCF collaboration platforms.
  • Experience using AI tools or Power BI.A recognised BIM qualification is advantageous but not essential.
