Join an award-winning international architectural studio as Head of Finance, reporting directly to the Founder and CEO. This is a key leadership role at a pivotal time, as the practice enters a new phase of transformational growth. We're seeking a strategic, commercially minded finance leader to drive sustainable, profitable development through robust financial planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial strategy, planning, and reporting across the firm
- Deliver accurate reports: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
- Ensure compliance and strong internal controls
- Oversee accounting, payroll, legal/insurance, and financial systems
- Support cross-departmental decision-making and instil financial discipline
- Coach senior leaders in budgeting and commercial best practices
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience in architecture, design, or engineering sectors
- Strategic, detail-oriented, and commercially astute
- Skilled in simplifying complex financial data
- Collaborative, confident, and purpose-driven
- Proven track record of driving performance in creative environments
Preferred Experience:
- 10+ years in financial leadership
- Familiar with project-based systems (e.g. Rapport3)
- Strong UK accounting and tax knowledge
- Experience in creative or design-led businesses
- Exposure to capital raising, governance, or transformation
