We're now looking for a Report Writer Implementation Specialist to help firms get the most value from one of our most important product areas: Report Writer.
The Role: This role is ideal for someone from a financial planning, paraplanning, report writing or adviser support background who enjoys solving problems, working with people and improving processes. You will help firms improve how reports and documentation are created, reviewed and maintained, while acting as an important link between our clients and our product team. This role offers a route into adviser technology, product development, AI and customer consulting without requiring previous software industry experience.
Responsibilities:
- Client delivery & adoption: Build, refine and maintain Report Writer templates, including suitability reports, annual review reports, client summaries and other advice documents. Help firms configure Report Writer so it fits their advice process, compliance requirements and internal workflows. Deliver training, support and guidance to help firms adopt Report Writer successfully. Work directly with advisers, paraplanners, administrators, compliance teams and operations staff to improve how documentation is created and maintained. Help clients understand the value of PlannerPal's reporting and automation capabilities.
- Client Consulting & Solutions: Understand how firms currently create, review and manage client documentation. Help clients solve reporting, workflow and operational challenges using PlannerPal. Recommend practical solutions and workflow improvements. Support firms looking for more tailored reporting solutions and documentation workflows. Identify opportunities for increased automation, efficiency and adoption.
- Product Feedback & Improvement: Gather customer feedback and identify common issues, improvement opportunities and template requirements. Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to improve the Report Writer experience. Support testing and validation of new reporting functionality and AI-powered workflows. Help PlannerPal develop best practices for advice documentation and report automation. Contribute ideas and feedback that influence future product development.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Customer Success, Product, Sales and Engineering teams. Support demonstrations, onboarding activities and customer workshops. Help identify opportunities to increase adoption and platform usage. Contribute to continuous improvement across implementation, support and operational processes.
Key Competencies:
- Essential: Experience in UK financial planning, wealth management, mortgage advice, paraplanning, adviser support or adviser technology. A good understanding of advice documentation, such as suitability reports, annual review reports, client review packs or recommendation letters. Strong written communication skills and excellent attention to detail. Confidence speaking with advisers, paraplanners, administrators, compliance teams or operations staff. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset. Curiosity about technology, AI and how automation can improve the advice process.
- Nice to Have’s: Experience as a paraplanner, report writer, technical administrator or implementation specialist. Experience using adviser platforms such as Xplan, Intelligent Office, Salesforce or similar systems. Experience supporting software onboarding, client training or change projects. Experience working with compliance teams or reviewing advice documentation standards. Familiarity with AI-powered writing tools or automation technology.
What Success Looks Like:
- Within the first 3 months: Become confident with PlannerPal's Report Writer capabilities. Build strong relationships with colleagues and clients. Take ownership of template work, client feedback and implementation activity.
- Within the first 6 months: Help firms adopt Report Writer more effectively. Improve the quality and consistency of report templates. Contribute valuable feedback and insight to Product and Engineering teams.
- Within the first 12 months: Become a recognised internal expert on Report Writer workflows and best practices. Support larger client implementations and strategic opportunities. Help shape the future direction of PlannerPal's reporting capabilities.
