We are currently seeking an Airborne Mission Network FSR to work in a collaborative and innovative environment supporting Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk, England. This is an amazing opportunity to directly support the global Command and Control Mission Support (C2MS) programme.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software or system functional specifications.
- Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users.
- Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment.
- Analyses, troubleshoots and resolves issues with airborne mission systems including routers, switches, modems and network connectivity.
- Supports new infrastructure projects.
- Responsible for operation and proper handling of COMSEC material and encryption devices such as SKL.
- Performs configuration and mission data entry with Harris RF equipment such as PRC-117G/152A providing multiple waveform communication options to the customer.
- Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.
Minimum Requirements
- 3 years of experience in hands-on network/system administration.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification.
- Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.
- Knowledge of Special Operations, SOCOM, and C4ISR systems and networks.
- Knowledge of DoD information assurance, policy, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of and experience in Local Area Network (LAN) design, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustainment.
- Ability to deploy to austere locations.
Physical Demands
Be able to lift, or assist with two persons, 50 lbs.
Additional Information
Travel to support the customer TDY or deployed will be required.
