The ASPIRE (Advancing Science & Practice Through Innovations In Research & Education) Center was established to advance excellence and equity in sexual and reproductive health. ASPIRE strives to destigmatize sexual health and improve access to care by producing evidence-based knowledge. Its goal is to promote policies that reduce systemic barriers for Black, Indigenous, other people of colour, LGBTQ+ individuals, young people, and people with disabilities. ASPIRE conducts research, professional education, and clinical training in partnership with various organizations.

POSITION SUMMARY: We seek a motivated NP, PA, or CNM for a 2-year full-time residency in sexual and reproductive health. The program includes clinical training, interdisciplinary learning, research, and networking, aiming to develop future leaders in the field. It offers a supportive environment for professional growth. The residency emphasizes core services such as gynecologic care, cancer screening, gender-affirming care, STI testing and treatment, contraceptive care including LARC, and medication abortion, including telemedicine options. Clinical training aligns with PPLM’s mission and standards set by relevant agencies. The first-year resident will work under supervision, with protected time for learning. The second-year resident will work independently with oversight, managing their own patient panel and engaging in research and quality improvement projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in precepted clinics and procedural training
  • Provide comprehensive sexual and reproductive care following guidelines
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams and participate in ongoing education
  • Contribute to quality improvement and research
  • Attend conferences and participate in program evaluations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate from an accredited NP, PA, or CNM program within 24 months
  • Board certified by AANP, ANCC, AMCB, or NCCPA
  • MA license prior to start
  • CPR certification (BLS or ACLS)
  • Willing to commit to full-time 2-year residency
  • Strong communication, flexibility, and physical stamina
