We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Landscape Architect to join our growing team in Gloucestershire. You'll contribute to some of the UK's most ambitious urban and rural projects, working at pace and at scale across the South West and beyond. With regular collaboration across our Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and London studios, you'll be part of a connected team delivering exceptional places and setting new standards in landscape design.
Situated in 8 acres of fertile land within the AONB on the edge of the Cotswold Escarpment, our studio near Standish, Stroud lies at the heart of our regenerative thinking. It is a working model that helps shape and inform our designs, and is a resource for applying and experimenting with regenerative land management.
Here, we’ve been developing our regenerative practice tool, a method of assessing the social and environmental credentials of the projects we work on. It’s a way of challenging the brief, our clients and collaborators, seeking to restore the balance between people, place and nature.
Our work extends widely throughout the surrounding region, from urban to rural environs, developing opportunities for community benefit and reconnection to nature. Recently we’ve been designing neighbourhoods for new housing developments, public and communal spaces for mixed-use developments, the revitalisation of listed landscapes and historic town centres, as well as visioning historic parks and gardens. Across Planit’s five studios we work as one team, constantly collaborating and sharing ideas and practices.

The role
This full-time role is based on 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
To qualify for this position, you’ll:
- Have approximately 3 years of post-graduate experience working in a creative practice (or equivalent).
- Be experienced in successfully delivering small landscape projects from inception to completion.
- Have experience of managing workloads and mentoring less experience colleagues.
- Be organised, able to prioritise work independently and work to deadlines.
- Be self-motivated, engaged and creative.
- Enjoy working as part of a team.
- Thrive in a studio-based, team-oriented environment
