The Role:
This is a backend-heavy engineering role for someone who thinks like a product owner, not just an executor. You'll work across the stack and take real ownership end-to-end, from idea to production.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and own backend services across the core platform
- Work across frontend and infrastructure when needed - polyglot mindset valued
- Take features from requirements through to production with real autonomy
- Push back on requirements, think about the customer, and understand the bigger picture
- Contribute to architecture decisions as the team and platform scale
Stack: Java, GoLang, Python - React, TypeScript, Next.js - Terraform, GCP, GitHub Actions.
AI? YES - They're shipping LLM-powered products
Exact tech match less important than strong backend fundamentals and a polyglot mindset.
You'll be a good fit if you...
- Have 3+ years of backend engineering experience
- Have worked at a startup or owned something from zero to production
- Are intellectually curious - you ask questions, dig into problems, and care about the why

- Mid-level: £70k–£90k | Senior: £90k–£115k base (DoE)
