POSITION OVERVIEW

At Planit, we combine the expertise and capabilities of a big agency with the drive and personalised service of a boutique. The Junior Event Manager plays a key role in supporting the delivery of exceptional events across our portfolio. You’ll support the full event lifecycle from planning and prep to delivery and debrief, working closely with our tight-knit team. You’ll also help attract and manage suppliers and coordinate resourcing. It's a hands-on role for someone who’s organised, ambitious, and ready to grow with us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Management
    • Working closely with the events team to effectively manage and deliver a diverse portfolio of events
    • Acting as a supporting role across projects and key accounts
    • Booking travel and accommodation at competitive rates when needed
    • Ensuring all supplier responses, agreements, contracts and general correspondence are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner
    • Delivering effective project plans, identifying tasks, managing execution, delivery and ensuring milestones are achieved
  • Supplier management
    • Background checks and references
    • Supplier liaison
    • Research / attract / register new suppliers
  • Business Development
    • Taking part in the preparation and presentation of new business pitches
    • General business development activities as required, such as attending conferences and exhibitions, representing Planit
  • General
    • Develop and drive excellent standards of customers’ service in line with Planit’s values, brand and ethos
    • Striving for continual professional development
    • Attending internal Planit meetings as required
    • Flexibility around place of work – home and office base
    • Travel when required, including onsite requirements at events
