Planit Consulting is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Town Planner with up to 3 years' experience to join our friendly and growing team in Godalming, Surrey.
We are a busy and established planning consultancy working across a diverse range of residential, commercial, rural and mixed-use development projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone starting out or looking to take the next step in their planning career, gaining valuable experience and developing their skills within a supportive and experienced team.
The Role
Working alongside our Directors and senior planning colleagues, you will:
- Assist with planning appraisals, applications and supporting reports.
- Undertake planning research and policy analysis.
- Assist with planning appeals and liaise with local planning authorities.
- Attend site visits and client meetings.
- Gain increasing responsibility for managing projects as your experience develops.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- Up to 3 years' relevant planning experience.
- A good understanding of the UK planning system.
- Excellent communication, organisational and report-writing skills.
- A positive attitude and enthusiasm for professional development and progression towards MRTPI qualification.
- A full UK driving licence.
