As a Senior Project Manager - Product Transformation (SPM/PPM), you will take ownership of transforming an existing Planisware PPM product within a live customer environment. This is a senior, hands-on delivery role requiring strong autonomy, commercial awareness, and the ability to operate effectively across global teams.
You will work closely with customers, internal delivery teams, product, engineering, and sales to define migration strategies, lead complex transformations, and transition customers into long-term UK ownership. The role operates in a hybrid UK-based model and has a strong global dimension, particularly working with teams in France, Germany, and the US.
What you’ll do
As a Senior Project Manager - Product Transformation, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a product transformation programme, balancing customer needs, delivery risk, technical feasibility, and commercial considerations. In this role, you will:
- Own and drive a PPM/SPM product transformation programme from initiation through to customer handover and stabilisation
- Lead the definition and execution of customer migration paths in a live, legacy environment
- Manage the transition of customers into full UK ownership following successful migration
- Work directly with customers to capture business requirements and translate them into practical, scalable Planisware solutions
- Design, configure, and oversee the delivery of SPM / PPM implementations (Planisware or equivalent platforms)
- Actively remove delivery blockers, make informed decisions, and keep programmes moving forward at pace
- Work closely with Sales, Delivery, Product, and Engineering teams to support pre-sales activities, solution shaping, and delivery estimates
- Provide clear, credible, and commercially sound estimates, demonstrating strong understanding of enterprise delivery and sales cycles
- Lead change management activities to minimise disruption and ensure smooth customer transitions
- Drive strong user adoption, ensuring solutions are embedded, actively used, and deliver measurable value
Initial focus:
- Define and deliver customer migration paths
- Followed by transitioning customers into full UK ownership
You may also be required to undertake additional related duties to meet evolving organisational or customer needs.
SPM / PPM, Consulting and Technical Expertise
You are expected to bring strong technical and consulting depth, including:
- Significant experience delivering SPM / PPM platforms in enterprise environments
- A strong background in enterprise consulting and software implementation delivery
- Hands-on understanding of portfolio, project, resource, and financial management concepts
- Experience working with configuration, data models, integrations, and complex system landscapes
- A solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Confidence engaging with product and engineering teams to align delivery and product direction
- The ability to challenge assumptions, identify delivery risks, and implement mitigations effectively
Global and Cross-Team Collaboration
In this role, you will operate as a central coordination point across regions and functions. You will:
- Work closely with France as a key stakeholder region, as well as teams in Germany and the US
- Align delivery approaches, migration strategies, and best practices across international teams
- Lead and influence cross-company consultants without formal line management authority
- Collaborate with UK Sales, Delivery, and Product teams to ensure customer needs, commercial positioning, and delivery feasibility are fully aligned
What is expected from you
- Demonstrable experience in product transformation or product evolution initiatives
- A strong track record in delivering complex enterprise software programmes
- Experience managing customer migrations, ownership transitions, or platform evolutions
- Proven ability to drive change management and user adoption in complex customer environments
- Ability to operate independently with limited structure, taking full ownership and accountability
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills at senior levels
- High commercial awareness, with the ability to support sales cycles and provide defensible delivery estimates
- Willingness to travel (UK and international)
Must-haves
- SPM / PPM implementation experience
- Fluency in French
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to travel
- A hands-on, pragmatic, and outcome-driven approach
Benefits
