The Role: As a Production Operative, you will work within the manufacturing department dealing with the assembly, testing, and inspection of company products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the assembly and finish of moulded parts as directed by the Team Leader, ensuring high workmanship standards and quality.
  • Support the preparation of mouldings in line with the production schedule.
  • Prepare products, ensuring all processes are followed accurately.
  • Engage in the cutting, grinding, and flow coating of bonded products.
  • Contribute to other areas of the manufacturing process as directed by your line supervisor.
  • Assist in the production of sub-assemblies when required.
  • Support the training of new production operatives and other personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workstation.
  • Operate in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety procedures and other related policies.

About You: Applicants should have a can-do attitude, be self-motivated, and be able to work on their own initiative. Experience in a similar environment is essential, and candidates must be practically minded with the ability to use conventional workshop power and hand tools. Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and a good work ethic are crucial.

Required:

  • A good standard of general education.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar environment or Engineering BTEC Level qualifications with 1-2 years of experience.
  • Ability to use conventional workshop power and hand tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise work.
