Our prestigious client is Europe's largest vehicle remarketing company, the backbone of the UK’s automotive supply chain, and they are looking for a Vehicle Prepper to join their Corby site.

Main purpose of the role

Within this role, you will be working as part of an experienced bodyshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Preparing vehicles for paint – This will include masking, priming, sanding, and cleaning panels.
  • Ensuring that there are no defects on the prepared panels.
  • Supporting other areas of the workshop where needed.
  • Assisting with the training of junior members of the team.

To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a Bodyshop (minimum 1 year).
  • Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Willingness to support junior cosmetic technicians and offer support/expertise when needed.
  • Passion for working within the motor industry and taking pride in your work, to the highest standards set by customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on vehicles and make your own decisions when required.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Salary and Benefits:

  • 06:00-14:00 Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday.
