About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for motivating, supporting and developing a team of Quality Inspectors while ensuring production and quality standards are consistently met. Working closely with the Shift Manager, you'll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly and resolving issues quickly to minimise disruption. This role is primarily based in Chichester, with occasional travel to the company's site in Bognor Regis. Monday to Friday – 5:30am to 2:15pm/ 2:15pm to 11:15pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and support a team of 5-10 Quality Inspectors (larger teams during busy periods)
  • Allocate work and organise daily priorities
  • Ensure all team members have the correct PPE, equipment and materials to carry out inspections
  • Monitor quality standards and ensure work is completed in line with customer requirements
  • Work closely with supervisors to resolve production and quality issues quickly
  • Support the creation of work instructions, risk assessments and other quality documentation
  • Carry out quality inspections alongside your team when required

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team within a manufacturing or quality environment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
  • Driving License preferred

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Automotive manufacturing experience
  • SAP knowledge
  • Experience producing work instructions or quality documentation

Up to £14.00 per hour 25% shift allowance for hours worked after 10:00pm (£17.50 per hour) Enhanced overtime rates available during peak periods 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) Ongoing training and career development Genuine progression opportunities
