Planet Recruitment are working with an established and growing engineering business who are looking to recruit an experienced CAD Design Engineer / Senior CAD Designer to join their Design team based in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a diverse range of projects.
You'll play a key role in the design and delivery of technically challenging projects, working from initial concept through to installation and project completion. The successful candidate will work closely with project, commercial, sales and operational teams to produce practical, compliant and cost-effective design solutions. Senior candidates will also have the opportunity to mentor junior designers and help drive continuous improvement across the department.
Key Responsibilities- Produce accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit or similar CAD software.
- Design engineered systems in accordance with client specifications, British Standards and industry regulations.
- Prepare technical calculations, layouts, system schematics and supporting design documentation.
- Produce technical submissions, build budgets and procurement documentation.
- Create and issue as-built drawings.
