Our client based in Banbury is looking for a HGV Class 1 driver to join their team assisting customers with the safe transit of their goods to businesses.
The Role
- You will work with a team of drivers and porters to ensure the safe transit of people’s personal items to various destinations.
- Full Class 1 licence, with no more than 6 points on your licence.
- Dealing with customers face to face and over the telephone.
- Working within a team to ensure any heavy items are lifted correctly and safely.
- Safe manual handling of goods, on and off the vehicle.
- Working on nights away and sometimes abroad depending on where the move is to.
- Hours of work are generally 52 hours per week (including weekends) across various shifts.
- This is a temporary to permanent position and applicants should apply with this in mind.
About You
- Class 1 Licence with a minimum of 6 months experience.
- Digital Tachograph card and CPC qualification.
- Self-motivated team player.
- Able to complete lifting of heavy materials.
- Successful applicants should be within a commutable distance of Banbury.
