About the Role: Planet is looking for a strategic Industry Marketing Manager to help grow our business in the Defense and Intelligence sector. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders from across the global Defense and Intelligence business group to drive demand for our AI-powered solutions among government audiences in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This role sits on the Industry Marketing team and is responsible for developing and maintaining resources that resonate with military, defense and national intelligence audiences. On a day-to-day basis, you will deeply understand customer challenges, determine effective engagement strategies, and arm sales and marketing stakeholders with the right messaging, content, and competitive insights. This role offers the opportunity to directly shape our regional defense and intelligence narrative in EMEA.

Impact You’ll Own:

  • Grow the market for our unique AI-powered solutions that detect threats across globally dispersed military, commercial sites, and open water.
  • Support new GTM initiatives (product launches, solution development, partnerships) and our Constellation Services business; assess gaps and identify opportunities for market expansion.
  • Ensure we bring compelling positioning and messaging to intelligence and defense audiences.
  • Produce and maintain a portfolio of industry specific marketing assets and sales enablement tools (presentations, data sheets, demos, battlecards, etc.).
  • Partner with Account-Based Marketers to strategize on account-specific marketing campaigns and content to support pipeline growth and expansion.
  • Partner with product and pre-sales engineering teams to build interactive demos and narratives demonstrating product value for proposals, industry events, and executive meetings.

What You Bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in Product, Solutions or Industry Marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Direct experience working within the intelligence or defense sector
  • Track record positioning and marketing B2G/enterprise products
  • Exceptional listening and influence skills
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Creative and analytical thinking skills; ability to synthesize information
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience partnering with product, sales, and executive stakeholders and communicating across leadership
  • Excellent organizational skills, self-starter with ability to collaborate across departments

Compensation: The expected starting gross salary range for this role is listed below. Individual placement within this range is determined objectively based on gender-neutral criteria such as your skills, qualifications, and professional experience. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or equity. United Kingdom Salary Range £77,500 — £96,900 GBP
