Role Overview
Executing our approach to Strategic Partnerships with in-store and online technology and solution providers in both Retail and Hospitality such as (but not exclusive to) – PMS, Till Systems, Booking Engines, Self check-in Kiosks providers. With a very large portfolio of products, ranging from Property Management Systems, Booking Engines to online payments and from hospitality and retail software to payment at the point of sale, Planet helps Merchants deliver better payments experiences for customers through our products and services, in a world where digital and physical experiences are coming together. We are seeking diverse, highly motivated and skilled experts in payments, with a passion for partnerships and strong commercial acumen.
What you will do
- Manage a portfolio of existing Partners to drive engagement and grow commercial relations resulting in incoming leads.
- Participate in analysing the market, make recommendations on potential partners that amplify our proposition, accelerate go-to-market, and increase the impact and visibility of our brand. Business cases for opportunities will be crisp and sharp.
- Strategic Partner management and onboarding. We have existing relationships with POS/PMS partners supporting our customers’ in-store operations, and we need to complement this with Digital Commerce relationships to deliver all-in-one payment and software solutions for unified commerce. We need to develop commercial partnerships and agreements within this audience with a short-term focus to deliver solutions to the SME and mid-market segments to accelerate our cross-sell strategy.
- Pitching and solution selling – for partners you will be able to craft joint value propositions that make sense for Planet and our Partners. You will take what we can both do for our customers and articulate the value in working together. You will be able to pitch the proposition, so it is compelling, exciting and inspirational to the most creative and logical of brains.
- Driving commercial results – be accountable for the KPIs set for your portfolio of Strategic Partners focused predominantly on value of the new business referred to Planet via identified list of strategic partners.
- You will work with our regional Sales teams to ensure capturing all commercial opportunities and with our Product & Technology organisation for the right product prioritisation that aligns with the strategic ambitions for each partner.
- You will collaborate with our Partner Marketing team to drive partnership awareness and engagement campaigns to accelerate the joint business growth.
- You help the company make the right choices and focus on the most material projects.
Who you are
- Understanding of Hospitality/Retail industry and Payments industry is critical.
- You challenge the status quo, challenge our thinking, and round out our thinking and plans. You may have a Partnerships Manager background or spent time in Account or Product Management.
- You monitor the changes in the competitive landscape and the reviews by the industry analysts to understand market trends.
- You have a commercial drive and can demonstrate the proven track of business delivery from the accounts/partners you managed.
- You can hold your position, challenge us but have the experience to navigate when to move on and pick up issues at the right time.
- You love bouncing ideas off other people. Brainstorming. Asking questions. Learning. Looking for answers that help our customers.
- You collaborate, engage in a respectful manner focusing on customer needs.
- You are an English speaker and/or you speak other languages/have a broader understanding of working in the international environment.
