As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) at Planet, you will drive our largest, cross-team programs through the product lifecycle. You will develop and manage end-to-end program plans with team leads, establish internal processes, schedules, metrics, risks, and clearly communicate them to stakeholders. You will work with cross-functional teams to steer programs through go-to-market launches. This role focuses on Planet’s Insights Platform development, including admin and provisioning systems; APIs; and core platform features. You will collaborate with product, software, and cross-functional teams to execute development and releases. This is a full-time, remote position based in EMEA. If you are near an office, you are expected to work from that office 3 days per week.

Impact You’ll Own

  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts across engineering, product, design, marketing, enablement, and customer support for major go-to-market releases.
  • Scope and manage program schedules and break work into incremental milestones.
  • Facilitate development of product requirements with software teams.
  • Translate requirements across business and technical stakeholders with clarity.
  • Identify dependencies and risks and proactively mitigate them.
  • Facilitate data-driven decision making and constructive discussion.
  • Communicate progress, priorities, risks, and changes to stakeholders across Planet.
  • Drive continuous improvement of ways of working and processes for current and future scale.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of software development or program management experience in SaaS, platform development, APIs, analytics, or UX.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects across a broad organization.
  • Experience with the product lifecycle: concept through development, launch preparation, go-to-market, deprecation, and end-of-life.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills with the ability to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Ability to explain analyses and recommendations to business leaders and discuss technical trade-offs with engineers.
  • Ability to balance tactical day-to-day work with forward-looking improvements to scale operational efficiencies.
