Role Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Business Analyst to support transformation across Planet's Order‐to‐Cash (O2C) lifecycle, including E‐Invoicing, regulatory digitalisation, cash‐flow optimisation, aged‐debt reduction, and merchant payment experience enhancements. This role is execution‐led, combining deep analytical capability, structured delivery discipline, and strong commercial understanding. You will turn complex financial, operational and technical challenges into clear requirements, test scenarios, data‐driven insights and decision‐ready recommendations. You will work across Finance, Billing, Revenue Assurance, Collections, Product, Engineering and external technology partners to deliver improvements that increase cash collection, reduce leakage, strengthen controls, and simplify the merchant experience. This is a hands‐on role for someone who thrives in detail, understands financial operations, and can communicate complex issues clearly to executives.

What You'll Do

  • Order‐to‐Cash Insight, Modelling & Performance Improvement
    • Analyse full O2C workflows to identify drivers of aged debt, payment delays, cash‐flow gaps, disputed invoices and revenue leakage.
    • Build financial models and scenario simulations to forecast impact of proposed changes.
    • Provide data‐driven insights that support prioritisation and continuous performance improvement.
    • Recommend improvements across invoicing, payment options, merchant communication, collections triggers and dispute handling with wide ranging support from internal experts.
    • Evaluate end‐to‐end process impacts to strengthen working capital and reduce operational inefficiencies.
  • Cash‐Flow, Working Capital & Business Performance Monitoring
    • Develop and maintain KPIs across cash‐collection performance, DSO, dispute rates, failed payments, customer payment behaviour and outstanding debt specifically in relation to transformational activity.
    • Use trend analysis to identify root causes and improvement opportunities across finance operations.
    • Build dashboards and insight packs that translate data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
    • Support monthly performance reviews with analysis, commentary and financial impact explanation.
  • Payment Experience & Merchant‐Facing Improvements
    • Analyse customer payment journeys to identify friction, payment failures, timing issues and communication gaps.
    • Provide insight to inform development of simpler, more reliable, and more effective merchant payment options.
    • Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure payments‐related requirements are clear, testable and aligned with merchant expectations.
  • Project Execution & Structured Delivery Support
    • Produce high‐quality requirements, epics, user stories, process maps, data dictionaries and test plans.
    • Support project planning, RAID management, dependency tracking and delivery reporting.
    • Contribute structured analysis to governance forums and exec reviews, ensuring updates are clear, concise and decision‐ready.
    • Facilitate workshops, playback sessions and cross‐functional alignment meetings.
  • Executive Communication & Data Storytelling
    • Present complex issues simply and logically for senior audiences.
    • Build narrative‐driven decks that combine data, analysis and clear recommendations.
    • Ensure decision‐makers understand impacts across revenue, cash flow, regulatory compliance and customer outcomes.
    • Create materials that support change adoption across finance, commercial and operational teams.

Who You Are

  • Experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong exposure to Order‐to‐Cash, finance operations, billing, invoicing, collections, and/or revenue assurance.
  • Highly analytical with excellent capability in data interpretation, scenario modelling and simulation‐based planning.
  • Skilled in producing structured requirements, process mapping, financial impact analysis and test planning.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to simplify complex financial and technical issues for exec stakeholders.
  • Delivery‐focused, disciplined, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a fast‐moving environment.
  • Collaborative and able to influence cross‐functional teams across Finance, Product, Engineering and external partners.
  • Commercially aware with understanding of cash‐flow levers, payment behaviour, and drivers of revenue leakage.
  • Comfortable working at detail level with SMEs and across high‐level design discussions with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in payments, regulated invoicing, financial systems or large‐scale transformation is highly desirable.
